Education: NYS chronically screw up our future
Although New York State is known to be one of the best states in terms of education. This compliment is not towards the prodigies, who inhabits our state, but towards the standardizing of highschool curriculum.
Pro Regents
- Overall raise the standards
- Unify education curriculum
- FAIR (towards students who have bad teachersm or are in a bad school)
Con Regents
- Lower standards
- Limit the exercise of ability for gifted students and teachers
- Teaches the curriculum and not the subject.
From my point of view and personal opinion. I would be against the NYSE system. Because I am someone who simply likes to learn, I find the NYS system stupid and difficult at the same time. However when I step back and look, the NYSE system does a fine job. It prevents school and teachers from laziness. If you want good grades you can get good grades, all you have to do is be a good student, you don't have to be smart. It sets stands which the schools and its classes must meet.
Conclusion: with NYSE is like social security. without NYSE the smarter get smarter, the stupid get jobs at Burger Kings
