Monster
I finished reading Phantom of the Opera has week. But I didn't learn one thing from it until now.
Humans who are treated as monsters will eventually become monsters.
Mousey1 was never treated like a person, he was always looked down upon, the weirdo, the pervert, the loser. No one thought he was good enough for anyone or to be worth anything. Maybe that's why he liked Naruto so much. I don't think he was really a jerk, it's just that he was never given opportunity to be treated as an equal.
The poor living conditions of many Blacks may also draw a parallel. Why Black crime rates are high. They had always been looked down upon, until the point they have to commit volence to survive.
