rambles: DFO [original] character stories
So I actually paid attention to each character's backstory when you start a new char.
So I will write what I know if you want to know too. My memory is schizo fuzzy, so don't go quoting the profiles. The location descriptions are much better since I read translations from DFO Source threads (link down below!)
I guess I should explain about Arad and the starting point of the game.
Arad is the world where the game takes place. All towns are in Arad, but not necessarily all dungeons.
Once a peaceful planet (bar those Dark Elves who think they're better warriors...), an event dubbed "the Devolution" caused creatures in Arad to become hostile and attack people. This may have to do with the magical energies in Arad being corrupted/disturbed by the Apostles, endgame bosses.
Slayer M: Arad native. As a young'un, a demon entered his body and made him slaughter his family. Nowadays, he wanders Arad as a lone warrior. Don't know if he's training to control the demon in his arm *cough*, but I guess that depends on what subclass you choose =/. Then he sees Seria being attacked by Goblins OMG!
Fighter F: Arad native. Since a young age, she's been training in the martial arts. One day, her family is slaughtered by an unknown group (prob'ly from the Devolution). She leaves her master to find the killers and kick their arse. As she wanders through a forest, she sees a person in trouble...
Gunner M: From Empyrean. Desert wanderer. Being chased by the Kartel for reasons unspecified, he ends up on a cliff. Not wanting to get caught, he leaps into the unknown, only to appear in unfamiliar Arad. Being the exploring type, he stumbles across a chick asking for help...
Mage F: From Pandemonium (formerly known as Terra). She finds herself in a strange world while out one day looking for answers. Somehow, she ends up knocked out and in the care of an Elf (named Kate). Kate tells her that it's only been recently that creatures have been acting hostile. Not one to sit back, Mage decides looking for answers in this strange world may get her back to Pandemonium. But then she encounters a girly-girl being harassed by monsters...
Priest: Arad native. Serving the local religious state of Arad. Asked by his master to check the situation with the hostile creatures. Determines it sucks, and calls for cleansing *shot*. Finds a helpless child trapped by heathens...
(Sorry this entry seems a bit grammatically childish! And, all this is light-hearted affectionate parody-esque.)
