Ficlet: Cockroach [This crazy thing poped up in my head b'coz I'm under stress]
Some time ago I read that Yamapi’s answer to the question ‘What are you going to do if you found a cockroach crawling out of your kitchen?’ is ‘Move out (from his apartment)’
And yesterday I saw this
and this scenario just poped up in my head;
“Kame!”
The person whose name being scream came running from the bedroom to see what happened that made his roommate screaming his name so loud.
“What? Pi, what?” he saw Yamapi standing perfectly still in front of the kitchen.
“It’s here, Kame, it’s here. Get it out, get it out!”
“What? … What’s here Pi? I can see nothing”
“There, it’s right there. Can’t you see it? It’s a cockroach over there, A COCKROACH!” Yamapi pointed his finger at the floor near the kitchen door.
“Huh?” Kame turned to look at it and saw a small insect crawling very slow away from the kitchen. “Calm down, Pi. It’s just a cockroach”
Hearing Kame telling him to calm down, Yamapi turned to snap at him “It’s not just a cockroach. It’s A DAMN COCKROACH! GET IT OUT!!”
“Okay, okay” Kame took tissue in his hand, slowly walk to the cockroach, and carefully wrapped the tissue around it. “You, little cockroach, you scare Yamapi so you have to go”
“Where are you going?” Yamapi asked as Kame walked pass him
“To throw it away, of course. Why you ask? Or you want to do it yourself?” he walked toward Yamapi, a tissue wrapped cockroach in hand, but Yamapi was backing away from him.
“Don’t you dare come near me!”
Kame just chuckled and walked away to trow that little insect away

As Kame was sitting on the couch, after got rid of that cockroach of course, Yamapi told him
“Kame, let’s move somewhere else”
“Why? This place is nice, I like it.”
“I know but …… but don’t you think it’s scary thinking that that cockroach might not be the only one, there might be other cockroaches that we haven’t seen it yet, or it might lay its eggs then in a few weeks there’ll be hundreds of cockroaches running around in this room! ……… And I’m not gonna step into that kitchen ever again! So let’s move out, ne!”
“Yamapi, that’s not gonna happen”
“How can you be so sure?!”
Sighing Kame turned toward Yamapi “If you worry so much, I’ll have this place clean, ok?”
“…………”
Still no response from Yamapi so he asked again “Okay?”
“….Fine! But if I see any cockroach in here again, I will not come back to this room ever again.”
“Hai, hai, whatever you like”

.
A few hours later….
“Pi, where are you?”
“In the kitchen!”
Kame walked to the kitchen and saw Yamapi was trying to find something in the fridge
“Didn’t you say you were not gonna step in here ever again?”
“Shut up! I’m hungry”
Kame’s laughing sound could be heard throughout the room………
