In curiosity (now that I've discovered Re:CoM apparently had a US release while I was MIA), I went to see who they picked as voice actors for the other Organization members still needing English ones. For the most part I have no idea who they are (and will be trawling YouTube in a minute to try find clips, since kh-vids.net fails at having them). And then I got to Vexen...and nearly fell off my chair. Derek Stephen Prince???? Oh, that's just too hilarious. I cannot imagine Vexen with his voice at all. Zexion, maybe, but not Vexen. *wipes away tears* This, I have to see...er, hear.
I don't know whether to look forward to hearing Marluxia's voice with eagerness or dread...if they screwed it up... >F
ETA: AHAHAHAHAHAH! Oh, it's just not the right voice for Vexen at all. It's like...a Faux-British version of his Digimon Kaiser voice, or something *snort* especially that "Silence!" he yells at Larxene...actually every time he gets angry he sounds more Kaiser-like. Definitely not skeezy or mad-scientrist enough, but I actually don't mind it too much. Could just be that I do love DSP's Kaiser voice *shrug* OMG....he just said Marluxia...not too keen on the pronunciation, but I guess it's how the katakana are written. I just prefer saying "Mar-luck-see-ah" instead of "Mar-loo-sha" :/ Speaking of, I can't really decide if I like Marluxia's voice or not. It's not as deep as his Japanese voice, but it's nowhere near as horrible as I feared they would make it. So I guess I should be satisfied with it~ Huh, I have no idea what he's saying in this part in Floor 10. "That would be an unfortunate-" what? The next word sounds like gibberish, day-something?
ETA2: You know...I really think Quinton Flynn isn't delivering some of his lines very well. I guess it's hard because Axel is a bit more ruthless in CoM than in KH2, but still. Some of them just sound stilted and...off. That "Goodbye" in the Twilight Town scene just wasn't as cool as in the Japanese version :/
ETA3: I quite like Larxene's voice. Her Japanese voice was fantastic with its angelic cuteness on such a sadistic and terrible person as Larxene. But the English voice is quite good too. Her evil laugh is perfect! And the delivery of the lines is spot on in expression and inflection.
Oh, and on a slightly different note...anyone played Final Mix+ on Critical mode? Got any tips for beating Roxas? :/ I want that awesome Two Across/Meeting Two Keyblade, but he keeps owning me harder than Xaldin did. >.< I'm thinking I might need to go back to farming Mythril Shard ingredients again until I gain another 5 levels or so :/
