Well played, Mr. McCain. Very well played. Hopefully, the Obama campaign will be able to make the argument that just because she's a woman doesn't mean that she's what's best for women. He's had some experience in this in running against Allan Keyes, the fight there being that just because Keyes is Black didn't mean he was what wasbest for African Americans in Illnois. Then again, that was different was both were Black. Plus, Barack had the advantage of being a Democrat, a party which, in recent history, has had a good deal of Black support. Also, Keyes is bugfuck insane. As far as I can tell, Palin is not.
This could get a bit tricky. Maybe Democratic women in power like the governors of New Mexico and Kansas and Hilary of course can appeal to women on Obama's behalf. Maybe the campaign can punch holes in her thin, though impressive in terms of her rise, resume. Maybe the women of America are smart enough to see that casting a vote for her is casting a vote for a party which is wrong on so many of their issues (and I don't just mean abortion). We can hope.
I'm just impressed that McCain found someone prettier than Barack. And a basketball player as well. Maybe the candiadates can skip a debate and have a 2 on 2 game. Don't let his age fool you; McCain's a demon in the post.
