Today I took what will probably be my last paid vacation day for a long time. I slept in (relatively speaking for me), did a few things around the house, messed around with my lj tags, and messed around with Werner who is definitely leaking antifreeze. I know this because his "Holy shit, I'm fucking burning up!" alert light came on on Sunday. It's a slow leak which is a good and bad thing--good because dumping large amounts of ethylene glycol whenever I park is embarrassing, expensive, and probably illegal. Bad because the entire bottle of the leak patch liquid I purchased needs to be poured into Werner and at the rate he's leaking it will probably be a week or so before I can give it a try.
I had lunch at Balboa's, the hunk of Philly which somehow wound up in downtown Cincy and was impressed. I then saw Mamma Mia at Newport and was again impressed. It wasn't the best movie in the world or even the best movie musical ever, but it was very entertaining.
The bride in the movie confused the hell out of me. She's a chimera consisting of the face of a 15 year old, the body of a 12 year old, the boobs of a 20 year old, and the brains of an 8 year old (inviting three strange men who my mom bonked 20 years ago to my wedding to act out a live version of the Maury Povich show without telling my hot mother* and jealous finacé? Sounds like a plan!). According to IMDB she's actually 23 and has been in several things including a season of Veronica Mars I've yet to watch and Mean Girls.
*Meryl Streep has amazing genes and/or a amazing plastic surgeon. Either way, she's the hottest 59 year old ever. Okay, second hottest next to Tina Turner.
While going through old entries, I found this one and I thought I'd update it to see if anything has changed.
