A Plea to my Livejournal Friends
Hello all! I have been neglecting you horribly. :( I feel terrible! All I can say is life has been busy. Lately, the biggest thing on my plate has been assisting with costuming the local high school production of Les Miserables. I swear I have sewing calluses and have been living at the high school. But we just started Tech Week, and while I will still be pretty busy, I might have time to get caught up on my online life. Not participating in NaNo this year, because I think I might die. And I need a job. And I want to not be going crazy.
PLEASE LOOK HERE, I have a plea to all of you darlings! I have been participating in a scavenger hunt called GISHWHES - "Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen." Said event is hosted by the marvelous Misha Collins of "Supernatural" fame. The winners of said scavenger hunt win a trip to Scotland. And lawdy help me, I wanna go to Scotland.
One way that you can help me out (and really, the world in general because it's always great to do these things) is to click on this link and fill out the form! What is the form for you might ask? It is simply a pledge to do a Random Act of Kindness by the end of the year. There's no follow up or spamming emails or whatever, and it would help my team greatly if you could. :)
And your act doesn't have to be complicated. It can be something you did earlier today. It can be something like baking cookies for a neighbor/roommate, helping a child cross the street, helping your neighbor move their couch. It can be calling a friend who's having a bad day, or volunteering at a homeless shelter. It can even be handing out Christmas/holiday treats next month. Anything you do for another person that creates good feeling vibes all around!
