I'm a wee bit tipsy. Just enough to feel cozy. Cass is sleeping over at Amanda's and Michael and Seth are sleeping over here with Nate and Gabe. Mike's upstairs watching a rerun of the Battlestar Galacta premier. I just finished the dishes and I'm sitting in the dark in the living room with my notepad on my lap.
I didn't go to school today. It was day three of the migrane and I just couldn't. This means I won't see my biology test score til Monday. I slept til nearly noon. I never get to sleep in and that was sleeping WAY in. When I got up, Nate was already at Cub Scout camp and Mike was at work, having got Nate off, and Cass and Gabe were at Amanda's and Michael's playing Game Cube. I came down to the kitchen and looked for something to eat, but ended up doing dishes instead. While I was at the sink, I felt hot air blowing against my feet. I ran to the thermostat, and sure enough, it was set to 80! Turns out the house didn't have to be quite at hot as it has been. I turned it off and things have been better. In fact, my headache is easing.
I dreamed last night I used peanut butter as shaving cream because it was so moisturizing. Ewww.
This afternoon I watched Food Network for a bit. Rachael Ray is so hot. I saw a commercial for Olive Garden's all-you-can-eat soup, salad, and breadsticks. I craved it all day. I didn't have any cash, but I did have a little money left in the grocery budget on a WalMart shopping card. I picked up some ingredients this evening and recreated Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana (sausage, potoato, and cream soup), salad complete with red onions, pickled peppers, olives, roma tomaotes, and Italian dressing with aged romano cheese, and breadsticks. I found a bottle of Sutter home white zinfandel in the liquor cabinette and chilled it too. Yum!
Last week Cass was cleaning her beta fish's bowl and had him in a paper cup by the sink. It jumped out of the cup and into the garbage disposer. I heard her shrieking through the house and came running. It took about twenty minutes of cussing to get the damned thing out. Those things are slippier and flip-floppier than you'd guess.
I ran over one of my boys' scooters, backing out of the driveway today. Thank god it was just the scooter.
My tomato plant in a five gallon bucket has several small green globes on it now, and tons of yellow blossoms. I can't wait till they grow large and ripe. I love sun ripened tomatoes.
Tomorrow is REEB (Dustin's canyon band festival). I haven't decided if I'm going or not. I guess it depends on how I do on homework.
Mike's parents are coming around the 27th. God help me.
I wonder when something special is gonna happen to me.
