Seeking Phone advice

I have a question--and I want your feedback. I need to change from t-mobile to verizon because my new job is not in a t-mobile friendly area. Verizon doesn't offer anything close to our price range. Hell, we don't come close to using the phone (cell and land combined) as much as the minimum amount of hours their shared plan offers (700 minutes for $70). For those of you who have the $40/450 minute plan plus an extra line--they decided that they didn't want to offer this anymore. Thanks verizon. Thanks for being the only major wireless company that works in Mayberry. Argh.

So, the question is this:"

How do you feel about the idea of dropping a land line to go strictly mobile?

We feel weird about it. There is something so secure about it. On the other hand, we're really just paying for telemarketers to be able to call us. I really want something that will work in barnesville and on the commute. I really want diana to be able to get in touch with me anytime. What do you think?
