Run-down on today...
I beta'ed the first chapter of that story I mentioned yesterday. I'm not so sure if it's parody as much as it is taking HP characters and sticking them into a... different plot line. I'm hesitant to say, but the author is fantastic and I'll be posting the first update as soon as she decides to be posting on Ashwinder.
By the by, she did something incredibly cool for me. After I beta'ed a copy of Chapter One, she sent back an edited version. If you don't happen to do that for your betas, you really should! We are human, after all, and we're bound to miss something. I found five things I missed the first time around, mostly word errors, but still. If you're busy looking for commas 'cause you notice that's an issue, you kind of miss problems with verbage.
Besides that, I pimped a story by my lovely WonderfulChild and then posted a One-Shot of my own. Where... something that I don't normally like happens.
It's probably not that good. I think I only had the balls to post it 'cause I know nobody's going to read it. (Unless Wonderful pimps my journal... then you'll all be exposed, not just the illiterate crickets. *shakes head* So sorry...)
