My mom and sister are here visiting, which is fun.
We went on paddle boats in the "tidal basin" below the Jefferson Memorial. And we hung out with our family friend.
When I was hostessing at Open City, my mom was standing by the front table with me, and who walks in but the brother of one the waitresses, whom I was expecting as she had told me to save a table in the back for them. His girlfriend was there too, and she looked EXACTLY like Hilary Duff. But her voice was all high-pitched and broken. So I didn't think it was her. I said to the waitress, "She looks just like Hilary Duff." She replied, "She is."
And the brother was Joel Madden, lead singer of Good Charlotte.
That's probably gonna be my best celeb citing this summer. Or ever.
