I got picked! I got picked!

I got picked to be one of the listening minister coordinators at church. I was looking forward to working with the ministery, but I did not realize how excited I would be about it. I am! I'm surprisingly thrilled.

And, it's always nice to get picked.

YAY for you!

does this mean you skip the phase of being 'just' a listening minister and go straight to being a coordinator? but you also still have listening minister duties?

It's just the coordinator gig. No real listening minister duties, but there is quite a bit of getting trained and training the listening ministers and then doing the debrief/share about what we've learned meeting. I'm not really sure, what all, exactly...

Yea! I'm so excited to hear this! I haven't been involved at all since moving away, but I was secretly pulling for you-- you'll be great. And the rewards are many and practical. :)

Thanks! We did the training last week. It was amazing. Davidson, Jack, Mark S., Me, a Nun, an Ex-Num and a catholic deacon. It was a fairly unforgettable ecumenical experiance.

I can't wait to get started!
