Somehow I got my hands on two tickets to
A Dog's Breakfast before it
sold out - though I have to say that those 20 minutes they're claiming must exclude the 30-40 minutes during which Wolf's server crashed.
Either way, whee! The money I was going to half-heartedly spend at the SF Ball is now going into a very brief trip to London to see someone who I still actually watch on tv, as opposed to watched in the past :)
Rob has decided that he must come with on the basis that I am pregnant and therefore cannot (apparently) ensure my own safety. Hello? When has anything bad ever happened to me in London? I never even got knocked off my bicycle when I lived there, and that was commuting! Bloody over-protective husbands.. He is not quite so keen on watching the movie itself, however - therein lies the dilemma, since the server-crashing masses are no doubt full of others who are even keener than me.
The website mentions the possibility of a larger venue, but if that fails I might talk to him about selling the extra ticket on (not necessarily for a profit - I hate it when people do that). Then again I'm sure he'd enjoy himself, it's just the obsessive Stargate implications that he's wary of.. because he isn't the one who'll channel surf his way to a re-run now and then, oh no.
Other than that, anyone know anyone in the UK who would definitely like a ticket?
