Thanksgiving Frustrations
I am about to pull my hair out right now. I am planning a huge thanksgiving dinner for a lot of the study abroad students here in Valencia and in Castellon, but little seems to be going right. The big issue at the moment is the date. Originally the dinner was going to be held on the Thursday, but then a conflict for the Castellon people arise and they needed it to be moved to Friday. I agreed to that since I want them to come and because that way I wouldn't have to miss most of my classes on Thursday. They now however want to move the date to Saturday so that no one has to miss any classes. I want people to come, but frankly, moving the date within a week is simply not feasable. I also feel as though I'm being walked on a bit becuase I'm usually so acomidating and even if Saturday is the best day, I don't want to agree to move it just so I don't loos complete control of the even that I have and will do the large majority of the work on. I really have decided now, that almost no matter what happens, I'm not changing the date, and if people really want to, they can come on Staurday for leftovers.
