Intro - Who will answer the phone?

Sophie reached into her leather bag and pulled out the album. “I’ve worked on many different projects, take a look.. I can adapt to many situations.”
The woman sat behind the desk adjusted her glasses and flipped absentmindedly through the pages. “Love, this is all very standard. Your look is so outdated.” She paused gazing at one shot. “But this one, the light through your hair, very mesmerising. Bring me some more like this and I’ll see what I can do. This may appeal to some of our more eccentric readers.”
Sophie glanced at the picture, it was one of her favourites but something had always disturbed her about it. The photographer had accentuated her already pale skin with a slash of red smudged across her mouth, her black wavy hair cascaded down from under a top hat. It was not her usual attire but she had to agree it was artistic. She placed her folder carefully back in her bag, and stood ready to leave. “Are there any other positions available on the magazine?” she inquired trying desperately to not sound too eager.
“Send us any contributions you have, I’ll look at them when I have chance, now goodbye Ms Durga, I’m sorry we wasted your time”.
Sophie stood and straightened her pinstripe corset-dress sensing the dismissal in the woman’s voice. She stalked out of the office only relaxing when she reached the glass elevator. One day she thought to herself reapplying her red lipstick and admiring her reflection as the elevator slowly descended.
Sophie gazed around herself with admiration at the sleek surroundings but decided to head back to her flat, watching the dying sun as she pushed her way through the crowds. She paused just once to buy a local magazine from the corner vender.
Once inside she flung her coat and bag on the sofa. I need to make some contacts around here... She picked up the magazine and started studying the classified section. A small advert in the corner caught her eye. Interesting . Sophie entered the number into her mobile phone. Taking a deep breath she pressed the call button…..
