Week 11 - 17/5/09
I am obsessed - I never was really into it all. The whole vampire thing didn’t get to me because I just don’t believe in it… but one day it was me and the book, and I couldn’t put it down - Friday to Sunday. I read it all. I even hired the dvd on Sunday night, and am already on the second book!
I just think the love story - between the lines - and the way it has been set out is perfect. It represents metaphors through it, it represents real life and it represents my past! Which is why I connect so much with it.
Although it is popular culture it definitely shows some sort of literature in it for me. It shows experiences and I’m able to read emotion and connect it with my life. It’s funny how long it takes Bella to read Edward. He is obviously hard to read if you aren’t part of his kind… but doesn’t that say so much about our lives?
Girls think boys are sooo hard to read - and boys think girls are just so complicated?
The way this book is reminding me and all of my friends of past relationships is ridiculous - its relating with reality, and its relating to broad experiences occurring to and between everyone, like :
Protection
Anger
Fights
Confusion
Choice
Risk taking…
LOVE CAN DO CRAZY THINGS… NOT JUST TO A VAMPIRE AND A GIRL BUT TO EVERYONE THAT HAS FALLEN IN LOVE.
