I never thought I'd post on politics...
I’ve disabled comments because there are better places than my fandom journal to have a political debate - but I’m just going to put this out there!
If you care about freedom of the Internet, non-censorship, and are against the fascists that have hijacked the US government… then vote RON PAUL for president!! He may be GQ’s ‘Dark Horse of the Year’ candidate, but seriously he’s a swell guy.

Why should the fandom care? With all the outrage over Livejournal strikeouts and censorship, it seems to me we all care about the freedom of information and the freedom of personal expression. For those living in the US, our online identities are predicated on the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. Ron Paul has stated that regulation of content on the Internet is “a very, very dangerous precedent to set.”
I know that among other things, Ron Paul will protect and defend my right to free speech.
I was going to write-in Lord Voldemort as a protest vote for President in ’08, but now I’m too excited for Dr. Paul, despite the fact he’s a Muggle.
