Art for "Dignity of Dragons" by etrix (SPN RPF, gen)
This has been quite a Big Bang season for me. The very day I posted the art for "Films About Ghosts," I got an email from the BB mods about a pinch hit. It was for SPN RPF, which would normally be a bit outside my comfort zone, but the summary caught my interest:
Technically, Harley found the lizard (which was actually a dragon!) and Jared took it home because it was hurt (even though his mama had said no more pets). It was okay though, because Jared didn't intend to keep it. In fact, it had to have escaped from one of the government zoos (and having it in the house was probably dangerous), so Jared planned on returning it (but the dragon had plans of his own).
The story is utterly charming (and hilarious), with an end game that had me grinning like a madwoman. Even if RPF is 'not your thing,' I highly recommend this story. It's just plain fun.
