Heaven or Hell - Round 2

Kotetsu wanders by, having had to talk to another teacher in the dorms about something. He pauses, watching Ky at work. Huh. How about that?

"Oh, not bad! Wouldn't have taken you for the fighting type," he replies, looking genuinely impressed. "Where'd you learn moves like that?"

Ky stopped as the side of his leg hit the bag as he heard the other man call out. He slowly lower it as he wiped his forehead with the back of his head.

"The Police Nationale." He answered as he got back into a normal standing position.

"Eh? You were with the police? Wow. You seem pretty young, too. What made you decide to go into teaching instead?" Kotetsu perches on a nearby bench, curious. He's got a healthy respect for law and order, after all.

Ky reached for the towel, wiping down his arms and face as he mulled over the question. "I got permission to take the baccalauréat early." He explained. For a briefly moment he touched the small crucifix that hung around his neck.

"It's a long story but," He does not want to lie but he doesn't comfortable discussing the whys with Kotetsu yet. "It was circumstances beyond my control, and I decide to use my degree to still do some good."

"Man, you must be smart. When I was young, it was all I could do not to have to retake high school classes." He's definitely impressed.

He frowns a bit. "Geez, that's too bad. Still, at least you're doing something for the good of others, right?"

"Ahh, gotcha." Explains the really religious trappings, anyway. "I'm sure the secular world's all the better for you sticking around, then. How're you doing with the kids so far, anyway?"

"They've been really good so far," The young man let a soft smile slip. "And they actually show interest in the subject."

"Hey, great! Always good to see the kids being enthusiastic about learning. Better than a class full of bored, mouthy teens, right?" Which he might have been himself in school, but hey, he's an adult. He can badmouth this stuff now.

Ky tossed the towel back onto the bench. "I honestly wasn't sure what to expect." He tried to resume his regiment. "A teacher does have to make the subject interesting enough for students to want to know more."

"Well, just remember there's only so much one guy can do, you know? The rest of it depends on how much the students want to do it. Still, sounds like you're doing pretty dang good for your first few days." He nods sagely.
