My job at the movie theater is not going to be hard!!! Yeah! It's funny b/c our movie theater ( since I live out in the middle of nowhere) is in the middle of a cornfield! hehehe...
I think the job will be fun. I think I might be the oldest person working there, but I don't think that will bother me. There are 30 other employees, so I will probably find someone who I will share common interests with, etc.
You all remember my obsession with Gregory peck, right? Well, a guy who works there looks JUST like him! He's younger though, so flirting and a crush are out of the question ( hehe Mary Therese), but he is nice to look at. Thank you, God for such a cute guy at work! And he isn't immature! Immature guys drive me crazy! Maybe we can be good friends. ( FRIENDS, Mary THerese!!! just friends! hehehe lol)
Well getting the job has made my summer so far. My sister has to drive me to work b/c my car is broken, but that isn't too bad (yet). Hopefully my car will be fixed soon so I can drive myself to work. The hours are always different and differ depending on who is the manager ( how much he or she will make you clean).
I miss our Marian Hall dance parties. I tried to have one by myself and it just wasn't the same. Oh well. I miss you all, but we will see each other soon enough.
Do you marian girls remember that piece of paper that was on the bathroom wall on the right side next to the first sink on the right? It was a quote from St. Faustina. It was a prayer to not live in the future or the past, but in the present moment. I think if we think like this then we will be able to focus more on doing God's will in our lives. If we live our lives moment by moment we will be able to focus on WHO is truly and utterly the MOST IMPORTANT--Jesus. After we have attained the realization that he is the lover of our lives, the King of all Kings, and the Kings of our hearts, we will be more able to surrender all to Him and let Him reign in our hearts. Jesus should be the most important person in our life. WE should breathe each breath for Him, perform all of our actions through Him,with Him, and in Him, and we should try to live in His Sacred Heart. (These are some things I have learned from the book "The Way of Divine Love." If we pause to ask Jesus what He wants us to do before we do something, then we will be able to live in His Divine Will and please His Wounded Adorable Sacred Heart. He is so hurt by our lukewarmness and indifference. He is hurt when we ignore His promptings and instead think of superficial and passing things. All He wants from us is our love. Each new day is an invitation to live in His Sacred Heart, His Divine Love. Won't we accept it?
In His Agape,
