NINE DAYS!!!
Just in case you guys were wondering, I'm voting for That One. I know, it's a huge, huge surprise. Because of certain obligations that I have on November 4, I won't be able to participate in other activities on November 5, but I will make it to Graciela and her mommy.
BTW, I totally stole this from queencallipygos and it's relevant to the preceding paragraph:
So that's out of the way, I'm sitting at home with Miriam (the wonderful little black kitty) staring at me (or my glass of Trois Pistoles) while The Boss (aka, my girlfriend) hosts her bookclub meeting in another room.
Now, for some reason, the ladies in her book club aren't keen on letting me join, despite the fact that I read a lot. OK, so I would be the only heterosexual male to be a member of the club, but I am pretty sure that is not the reason. I'm pretty sure the reason is that The Boss told them some of the titles that I might be tempted to recommend. But it's all good. By the way, tonight's book is "The Shack". I haven't read it, but I've heard that it's really good, if that's your thing.
But I'm not going to eavesdrop on the conversation and pass it on to you guys. That would be wrong of me.
So, to my knowledge, my team hasn't given up a try this season. Now, there was a match today at 11AM vs. the Georgia Rugby Union All-Stars, but I didn't play because of a prior commitment, so there is an outside chance that we were scored on today. So we'll see. All I know is that Chattanooga RFC didn't score on us yesterday when I was playing full back, and that I opened up our scoring with a wicked cool try. Just sayin', yo. Oh, and I should have had another. But let's not get greedy. One of my buddies broke his arm and is out six to eight weeks. I know the feeling. I've spent more time on the sidelines than on the field over the last two seasons, so I've learned a little humility on that front.
But this is starting to ramble on, so I'll leave it off there for now.
