Still working on organizing my books. I found I was getting so tired of shuffling through the "read" ones to find an "unread" one I felt like reading. So, I bit the bullet and put every single "read" book on my bookshelf into packing boxes to put in storage. Of course, as compulsive as I am, I created a database listing the title, author, genre so I can still keep track of what I own. Hooray, lots of space to spread out my unread books. Well, I still don't have any extra space, but at least I only have to sort through a double row of books on the shelves instead of triples. (Maybe I went a little overboard at the Half Price Books Warehouse sale last weekend? Nah. Who can resist paperbacks for a quarter.)
I also organized my puzzle mags a bit. And found I had enough room to subscribe to another title. Woohoo!! So now I have samples oekaki magazines from: Japan, England, France, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain and, as soon as the first issue arrives, Italy. I wish I could get my hands on a copy of the magazine from Turkey, but I don't want to subscribe for a year. I'd also like to see the versions from Russia and Israel. Maybe I should ask if they will sell me just one issue. Except I don't speak the language. Ah well.
