Far from Close and Just too Close

Pairings: Sooyoung/Feb Babies

Fairytale movies have made life somewhat easy. Watching those movies that end with happily ever afters make us want to experience it, and make us look in the brighter side of things.

Choi  Sooyoung have been watching those kind of movies. That’s why, every single day she imagined spending a day with her Prince Charming; doing those lovey-dovey stuff, going out on dates, and just being happy. She had been saving all that love for a long time; all ready to give it to someone. The only thing missing is the Prince Charming. Unfortunately, Mr. Right is nowhere to be found; even if she is surrounded by beautiful people everyday, and by “family” who loves her.

Shim Changmin was a practical kind of guy. He was realistic and smart. He never wanted anything special in a relationship; he just wants her to be there. But there was no “her” to be there; because he had been harboring feelings for a certain shikshin. It’s ironic how they have a lot of thing in common, but are never close. He knows he had been obvious how he’s been eyeing her in concerts and press conference; how his hidden(yeah, right!) smiles everytime she came into contact with him. His little obvious gestures were a sign how his feelings for her strengthens. If only he could talk to her without getting awkward.

Cho Kyuhyun had the traits anyone can fall for;great voice, good looks and even his personality. Because of the Evil Maknae reputation, his bad boy image makes every dongsaeng and noonas love him. Even having those aspects, it still wasn’t enough for his evil counterpart in SNSD to notice him. They only had little encounters, still he was happy just being near her. Like his best friend/rival in TVXQ, the awkwardness conquers their conversations. He tried to break the ice once when he said that she became prettier; in front of the camera, even.

These two 88’ers must have something cast on them to be awkward to the girl they love. These two perfect (in the eyes of many) men; both friends, both rivals, both family; unaware of each other’s feelings for her. Still, they are thankful that they’re not her best friends. If they were, confessing would be twice harder and twice awkward.

It’s a different story to these two.

Choi  Siwon was one of her best friends. They were born the same day and they had many things in common. He was the embodiment of handsome in Super Junior and the dream of many; an ideal husband and ideal man for many celebrities. He was kind, good-looking, sexy, and even religious. He also came from a wealthy family. He was good enough for anyone, that he can easily get a wife, but he just wants her. It was a mistake for him to get too close to his “sibling”. For one, he fell for her charms, and two, if this doesn’t work out, they can’t go back to being friends again.

Jung Yunho was the leader of TVXQ. He was manly, charismatic, and a great dancer. Knowing that girls can’t get enough of his charms, he was sure that he already wrapped Sooyoung around his fingers. She said it herself, she was a self-admitted Cassiopeia; and he was sure that she fell for the group. Still, they were close enough to be friends. And like, Siwon, it was a mistake to be close to her.

These young men, having everything; can’t even make the girl they love to fall for them. To some, people may think that she’s imperfect, not good enough for any of them; but it was those imperfection that made those men fall for her.
