Welding to the tune of Rasputina on loud speakers is fucking amazing.
So I got to weld today, which begun with lessons on technique and how to do it and the mechanics involved in it. That was pretty cool cause I guess I learned quickly. After that I was told to have at it and mess around and get creative, so I did! I made this scorpion-like thing and it's about 16 inches high and will make a great paperweight.
Then I actually got to work on one of Dan Das Man's sculptures, on the right arm of Mubatu, the steel cable man. THAT was pretty freaking awesome. The people there were SO my sort of people and convinced me I have to go to Burningman since I have a free ticket lined up (which apparently never happens). I loved the experience so much I am going back for around eight hours on Saturday!
And I have another fire dancing class lined up for tomorrow, followed by a day of rest with Tshirt reconstruction and then another evening with that Circus show, I Hate You, a Love Story. Good times good times...
So yeah, life is a blast here in San Francisco. I have to live or study here someday...
