Christmas Eve 2006

Merriest christmas,

I am to start a new traditon if I remember. I find that I am having a thing for starting traditions lately. So here it is finally Christmas Eve (as it is official, as my pastor said, the morning and day was the fourth Sunday advent of the month, very confusing to me right now) almost 10 o'clock now. My parents are getting ready for bed and they keep coaxing us saying how "we need to get to bed so Santa can come". I feel a bit sleepy, and my brother is playing video games. Its a relaxing but excited tone that resides in the house.

We stayed home all day, except going to church. It was nice, my parents wanted to go to a movie, but I protested...feel a bit worn out...and as plain as I can say it not interested. God wanted us to be home as we later found, out being blessed with neighbors presence. Lori Wisdom came over, heard some family gossip that we giggled over and of course in her humble and happy mood gave us presents (that immediately went under the tree for the opening of christmas presents from friends and relatives for the evening). Then Haley and Robi Knox came over. I love them dearly, they are my second family, sometimes I wish they were my family haha. We talked for a while then we had them grab cinnabons for us as they made their trip to the tasty store.

We went to the family service at 4 as usual at the church. Cute as always as the little boy behind us kept exclaiming how badly he wanted to go up in front of the people. Except I felt like my ear was going to fall off with my mom singing in it. Oh well, no harm it, just funny, sometimes it can be a little much, but I'm glad she does it, hopefully in rejoice for the Lord. My entire family came, that was lovely.

We came home and I impatiently waited for everyone to come sit down so we can open up the presents that I had up to then been patiently waiting for (I tried to not open any of the ones from my friends, as I've been getting taught a lot about waiting) then was tortured by my mom having to do every other thing before we could open a single one. Beautiful presents, marvelous friends and relatives.

For a couple of hours we played Apples to Apples with the rents (Dustina and I) since we had gotten that as a present "from Deano and Frankie". It was extremely fun, and my parents really enjoyed it as Dust and I are old pros at it. Sometimes, it was gross...probabaly because some of the things were coming from our own parents and it can be dirty haha. They laughed while we gagged. Shane came in, and it was fun, havent played a family game that we all enjoyed for a long time, he ended up winning.

Lots of food, joy, and happiness today. It was brilliant. I sent text messages with the verse Luke 1:35. I found that one and thought it appropriate for the holiday. I hope I made them smile, and I hope I spread the word.

I am super excited for tomorrow, and getting tired surprisenly. I am going to try to get them up at 7 or 7:30 though they helplessly plead with 8 o clock. How can I when there are colorful presents and gifts preciously sitting under that tree, and our stockings full of goodies for us?
Merriest Christmas dearest friends.
