(no subject)
Well, I'm in Philly right now with one week left at my externship. Its a great experience! I'm at the hospital at 4:45 AM everyday for pre-rounds with the 1st year residents then round with the 2nd year residents at 6:00, then round with the attendings at 8:00. But wait there's more, after that I'm in surgery for 5 hours scrubbing in cases and closing (I got to do that 6 times already last week!) and then another 4 hours in clinic after surgery seeing patients. I love it!!
Seriously! You know your calling when you wake up everyday loving what you do. Everyday I get up I get so energized and excited to see patients and do surgery. Man I wouldn't trade it for the world! I've only got one more year in school and then its off to residency.
Alright, now I'm off to a barbeque that my roommates are having. I pretty much live on the University of Pennsylvania campus right across the street from a bar called The Blarney Stone! But I'm keeping it real though I was only there until 1 AM yesterday. Yeah I'm keeping my social life filled too...hey you can't have work without no play!
