House/Wilson are Holmes/Watson

Yes, House and Wilson, whose chemistry is among the most fluid on television, ought to live together forever. Pairing them off to cook and watch the Discovery Channel and argue over neighbor relations has been a surprisingly satisfying distraction from House and Cuddy, a story line that the show’s creator, David Shore, has indicated will be on hold for a while. Really, where should House and Wilson register?-New York Times (October 6 2009)

HOUSE (Fox, Sept. 16) Will prime time’s most unhealthy, obsessive love affair - the one between Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) and Dr. Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) - survive the fact that House was instrumental in Wilson’s girlfriend’s death? Early episodes are inconclusive, but we all know that they’ll patch things up somehow. In the meantime, House auditions several Wilson surrogates, including a private investigator (played by Michael Weston, David’s abductor on “Six Feet Under”) who understands House too well.-New York Times (September 7, 2008)

And finally - finally! - House has made a home with his true soul mate, Robert Sean Leonard's superb Wilson. Since moving in with Wilson as part of his healing process - well, that and the fact that Wilson is the only one who'll put up with him - House has a new spring in his hobbled step. They're not an odd couple, they're a made-for-each-other couple. As they sit around and diagnose each other's emotional temperatures via subtle physical clues and ''tells,'' you're reminded of the original inspiration for this series: the tales of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, solving mysteries with a similar method.-Entertainment Weekly (October 16, 2009)
