Livin' it

So next week is my last week of school for this term, and therefore, next week is finals week. I suppose that I shouldn't take it easy this week/weekend, which is really hard, because it feels like I have nothing to do. I think my other problem is that I never really learned how to study. High school teachers always say "high school is meant to teach you how to learn". I guess that I should have listened. I always got decent grades, but never really had to try. Not to mention my last year at "kinder-college" that turned me into a bulbous nodule of laze. Anyway, I won't really need to study for 2 out of my 3 classes, but calc (for a number of reasons(excuses) that I won't bore you with now) is not going quite swimmingly. Anyone have an old trig book from high school? I never took a trig class, and the last week of calc has been all trig-related concepts, that are completely foreign to me. My high school had "integrated math" instead of algebra, trig, geometry, etc... and I guess that they decided that triangles are not important. Oh well. These really are just excuses, and I need to just suck it up and get it did. (Ya like that grammar?) On a happier note, the Sox are up 2-0 in the ALDS with the Angels, coming back home to Fenway for tomorrows game. I watched the game with Melissa last night: she's from Jersey- and she's a Yankees fan. Now this is just unacceptable. So, I taught her how baseball worked, and now need to draw her away from the evil empire, back to the good guy side. SHM had rehearsal tonight- there's still all sorts of unspoken juvenile unrest and dissent between members, which I think is a little ridiculous. It really brings down the group. We've got a few mini-gigs this weekend, which should be fun. I haven't gotten much sleep lately, and I'm really excited to get to bed early tonight- it's gonna rock. WPI class-related questions: Any recommendations for good calc III profs? Should I take Music Theory II or Jazz Theory B-term? (or both?) Do I get credit for club/VPL for each semester that I'm in it? Or does it count only once, like a regular class? I don't know that many WPI'ers read this thing yet...(I don't know that many people anywhere read this...yet...or ever will...oh well.) I should probably vocalize these questions elsewhere. OH! And if you want to hear one of the most beautiful things ever- Check out Eva Cassidy (particularly "Over the Rainbow"). Download it. She's dead, she won't mind. WELL- I think I'll go do some relaxing CS homework and do the whole sleep early thing- Goodnight mush.
