Yeah I have Virtual Box installed on my desktop, but honestly I've never had a good reason to use it for anything. I've thought about using it to play around with a Linux install just for fun, but aside from that, I can't think of anything else I'd use it for. The days when I would execute or decompress files of questionable integrity on a fairly regular basis are long gone, so I don't really have a need for a sandbox.
I have exactly one PCI video card that I'm not so sure I'm willing to turn loose on the off chance I may need it for something. I just looked on Newegg, though. Looks like they still stock a fairly large selection of PCI cards. They're a little more beefed-up than the PCI cards of the days of yore it appears. But I guess there's still a market for them, probably as dual displays in a situation where there's only one PCI-e slot... or in slim builds for media servers (a lot of them seem to boast "low profile". Anyway, if you really can't be bothered to drop $40 on one, I might be able to be talked out of it. I can't THINK of any reason I'd need it in the future, but I decided to hang on to it just in case.
