I'm sure we could paint things if we wanted. He might not be very keen on the idea of doing things like hanging paper that he'd have to strip at some later date.
Welf and I have talked about picking some large, open wall in the house and making it a place to do changing, creative things with: like hanging series of photos, or painting murals, or... whatever. Maybe every 3 months do something new on that wall.
The stairwell leading into the basement has these HUGE tall walls that the landlord plans to strip the wallpaper off. I'm thinking about doing some fun things with posters and Rasterbator" in there as a visual pre-cursor to the glory that will be The Guy Room. ;-)
I've been wanting to to the same forever, but I don't have a suitable ladder to get up there. I wanted to get a route spool from an old CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) bus and drape it down the wall... among other things...
btw, if you have the urge to start ordering prints I really suggest White House Custom Color (http://www.whcc.com). The prints are beautiful and very reasonably priced. They're who I use for my commercial and fine art work.
Yeah, that's one thing we're giving serious consideration to is having some nice prints made of some of our photos. Thanks for the tip. I'll check them out.
That would be wicked-awesome. :) Ever see If Lucy Fell? The characters painted a calendar every month on the wall. I want a wall like that but have settled for a big french memo board above my computer.

The downstairs bathroom is worse, it's that late 70's Harvest Gold color. Blech.

Now that blue toilet? THAT'S some big pimpin' style, right there. It would be funny in our basement though cuz it would camo right into the wall.
