Two neat things I've learned you can do with the LiveJournal admin console in the past year:

You can make a journal or community friends-only by default so you don't have to remember to lock the posts:

for communities, it's:
set for COMMUNITY_NAME newpost_minsecurity friends

for personal journals, it's:
set newpost_minsecurity friends

You can disable lj-cut tags for either the "Recent Entries" link for all journals you read or for your entire "Friends List" link.  I opted for the latter since I hate cuts.

set opt_ljcut_disable_lastn 1
and
set opt_ljcut_disable_friends 1
respectively

I got Erwin off the truck on Thursday afternoon in Springfield, OH.  I caught a quick photo of him when we were going to lunch the other day.



They didn't have any new trainees for me, so for the meantime I'm solo.

I got to visit briefly with Welf on Thursday morning.  She roused herself from bed at 6am to meet me for breakfast at a nearby truckstop, the scene of the crime, in fact.  That's love, folks.
