ya know, from time to time i tend to think im old school. i like simpler times and the hard route. im only 20 years old, so the following might not sound credible, but shit was done better back in the day. hustle, style, $5 and jug of determination. with the dawn of the internet anyone can become joe entrepreneur or mike entertainer, 90% of which suffer from lack of talent and organizational skills. i speak mostly to you musical suckers. dudes make a soundclick page or a myspace and expect their career to jump off. they comment with this "o check my page for the new stuff". or j-dingleberry from wisconsin wants to do a collabo with method man, so he thinks leaving him a message is a sure bet. mr. meth would rather do ceramics.
remember flyers? good radio play? unbiased magazines? thats how i got my info.
i hate to sound cynical.
thats why if/when i decide to do anything related to what i just wrote about, or start a clothing company, or etc, you wont see a website. look for me. if im a musician ill be at shows or on the radio or coconut grove. clothing? ill be wearing my t-shirt. see me. stop me. ask me how to become a part of the revolution.
