Damn WA weather. I want to go back to Cairns. Nice hot balmy days. Got a nice tan. Needed a fan on to sleep at night.
Come back to WA and you need heaters and blankets and trackie daks and everyone seems to have a cold!
Anyhoos- yes, I’ve come back- very reluctantly. Love Cairns- I am most jealous of, and happy for, Ms Sare and A-Lex. Lucky buggers.
Had a beautiful relaxing and happy time up there. Got married- so now I’m apparently Mrs Josh. That’s what the girls at work are calling me. Hmmm. I said Josh was Mr Susan.
It was a beautiful wedding. The happiest day of my life. Sare and Alex made the long trip up from Cairns to Cape Trib for the day, making it a very fun and happy time. The Daintree is a fantastic and beautiful place- fearies live there (with the crocs). I’ll email pics to people if they like- coz I have no concept of technology and the internet. Anyhoodles.
Went snorkelling off Green Island, Went on the Kuranda Heritage train, the skyrail, up onto the tablelands, and many more things.
Also checked out some of the north coast of NSW. J’s home town is beautiful. It’s just a pity that there’s no work. It is similar to Mandurah in that it is a place old people come to die. There’s lots of cane fields- first time I’ve ever seen that. J cut off a piece for me to drink the syrup. Had a look at the national park around there- sandon, yamba, iluka, balina- didn’t make it to grafton or coffs harbour- maybe next time.
