Update 3
Am seeing the ever fantastic Leomaneo next week. Going to see the Dirty 3 with him at the Fly by Night. Never been there- never seen the band.
The Dirty 3 are a fav of Leo’s and mine- performances are very rare now as the main doodle joined Nick Caves band and moved to France. It’s all really exciting, and I can’t wait for next week!
Going east of the 17th of July. It’s a birthday pressie for J- I went and bought him a plane ticket to see his grandma in Mclean (near Grafton), NSW. So that’s all rooly exciting. We fly into Coolangatta, drive down to Mclean, spend 5 days in his home town, drive back to QLD, fly into Cairns to meet up with Sare and Alex, have a mad old time in the tropics, get married in the Daintree, fly back on the 30th of July, and then that night I’ll be seeing the Arctic Monkeys with Ms Lis in Perth. YAYAYAY
I’m hell excited about the whole thing.
Have decided when I have the money to buy a road bike, I’m getting a Monster (Ducati). When J took his Superbike down to Bunbury for a service last week, the shop owner gave J his personal bike to ride home. And it was this beautiful black monster with red stripe- very beautiful- nice sitting position, spine tingling note to it.
Am selling my dirt bike- does anyone know anyone who wants to buy a CR 125 that hasn’t been raced, and actually, hasn’t been ridden for nearly two years coz there’s no bastard place to ride where I live? It’s in mint condition- I love it to bits, we’ve been through a lot together, (me, the CR and the flying Doctors go way back…*s*) but I don’t see myself riding it for a long while (until I get rid of my bastard Lancer and get a ute or 4x4 or something).
J is seriously thinking of selling his two dirt bikes for the same reason. He might hold onto his ktm for a little while yet, but he’s pretty keen to get rid of the rmx.
