I've been so sick and tired lately of the media's portrayal of Christianity as a stereotype. "American Dad" almost made me sick to my stomach last night. Christianity does not support extremist right-wing politics. God is not a god of racism, classism, sexism, or any type of discrimination at all. I can't stand seeing so much hate and misunderstanding being put forth towards believers in Christ. It breaks my heart that a tiny minority of so-called believers like "Pastor" Bob or the people who walk around with banners claiming we're all going to hell or some groups that claim homosexuals are condemned to hell. Many of the real Christians out there are so horrified to speak about their faith and the blessings that Jesus has put into their lives because of the spiteful and angry words they hear spoken against Christains. "Pastor" Bob has absolutely no religious studies or degrees to his name. He's just an extremist finding an avenue for his filth. The "god" he speaks of is extremely judgemental and wants to punish us all. It is true that God has rules of right and wrong, but He is extremely loving and forgiving and really only wants a personal and honest relationship with Him. The same goes for the crazies with their banners and screaming. And as for the idiots who put up the godhatesfags.com, they are more worthy of damnation for the hatred they have spewed toward homosexuals. The fact is, the Lord sees all sins equally and no sin is greater than another. So a person that is a homosexual is no less deserving of the kingdom of Heaven that a compulsive liar, an alcoholic, someone who has committed adultery, or even been prideful. God does look at us and see just our sin. He sees His beautiful creation and wants us to love Him. I feel like there's a lot more I need to say, but the inkwell of my mind is running shallow for now. I love you all.
