[inní mér syngur vitleysingur]

I just got out of Inni. It's Sigur Rós's concert film, and basically it's just 75 minutes of concert footage, shot at exciting angles in grainy pretentious unnecessary black-and-white, interspersed with short clips of the band going about various activities, ranging from riding around parking lots on tiny bicycles to enjoying an awkward silence in an NPR interview. Mostly, though, it was just music.

And every molecule in my body is still tingling.

I've liked Sigur Rós since Cree got me into them in freshman or sophomore year of high school. There aren't many bands that have stayed with me like they have - my tastes have changed a lot, but they have stayed on my playlists, on my mix CDs, in my writing, in my head. I don't really keep a bucket list, but I would plan a trip to another country just to see them live once before I die.

Yeah this is a short and kind of pointless post, which may be summed up with a cheerful "Cool story, bro!" and promptly scrolled past. But... idk, I write about things, about feelings, when I don't really know what to do with them in my own head. And it's been some years now, and I've heard most of their songs many times; but I still don't know what to do with how the music of Sigur Rós makes me feel. And Inni was beautiful.

artz, my exciting life, links, too stupid for a real tag, omg music music music
