what is this complex fic of epic proportions? COMPLEX? YES?
this was an amazing ride from start to finish! if i could reread it again with a fresh look i would because wow the feelings are amazing!
i loved every bit of this! from the problems kyungsoo had to deal in terms of being real or fake, to his decisions over the real world and the virtual world. i loved how you explored his personal battle over choosing to keep or give up the world he crafted for himself. just yes!
Kyungsoo is sitting in a cafe. i didn't realize how important this simple line is
That nothing about him is real. Kyungsoo had tried to deny it at first. His emotions feel real, and isn’t that enough? sobs
In the week following the kjmsuho fiasco, Kyungsoo first hooks up with x_SensitivePanda_x for a few days and then moves on to chenchen. and so it begins
also i loved the usernames you made for each member! very creative!
His smile widens, and there’s… something. Something other than just hope of creating a returning customer. Something more like a more personal investment, like he wants Kyungsoo to return for the sake of seeing him again. yes minseok
Instead of even trying, he found a way to temporarily shed away the world that never wanted him to start with, and immerse himself in a world he could actually connect with. this hits close
again like, i loved how you explored the weight of virtual relationships versus "real" ones. i'm sure everyone has a temporary escape, but would those not be considered real as well?
“Okay, you know what? Fine.” Chanyeol stands up and walks to the door. “Sorry for being concerned about you.” /sighs
And then he hears it - faint, like it’s coming from a distance, but unmistakable. Chanyeol is calling Kyungsoo’s name. this one line had me thinking up thousands of theories but i knew something bad was going down
And if the circles under his eyes get deeper by the day then, well, it’s worth it. /frowns
The words are mere politeness - the two of them had, after all, agreed to meet at this time. Wait, no, that’s not right. i've read too many glitch stories with virtual ai programs that this whole segment freaked me out
This isn’t right, chenchen is supposed to disappear, why isn’t he disappearing? bb
fighting to keep both worlds makes him lose both worlds and maybe chenchen is real and kyungsoo lost another chance
“No,” Kyungsoo says flatly. this part made my heart ache for kyungsoo because watching, or reading, someone break down after working so hard to keep their walls up is just heartbreaking
