Immersing yourself in a convention devoted to the written word can be an awe inspiring experience. I've been at the 61st World Science Fiction Convention this weekend in Toronto and its been a great experience. Listening to such great writers like this year's guest of honor, George R.R. Martin speak about his writing career. Other writer's I saw and listened to included Connie Willis (funny as always), Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Elizabeth Moon, Fredrick Pohl, China Mieville, Kim Stanley Robinson and many more.
I want to spend hours in front of the computer writing now, but am just to tired from all of it. I guess it'll have to wait.
