So this happened...
Don't know if it was the phase of the moon, or just my usual manic self expressing itself, but I embarked on a new journey last night.
After squatting on my domain SooGuy.com for several years with grandiose plans to make it my Author Blog, I finally took the initiative to install Wordpress on there and get a blog set up.
But wait...there's more!
My incentive for installing Wordpress and creating a blog was not just to bore people with my sad tales of being rejected by various publishing markets, I decided that this was the year that I was going to review ALL of Johnny Depp's films. Yup, you heard right - all 43 films in which he stars or makes an appearance, assuming I can get my hands on all of them.
My love of Depp and his acting is no secret, especially here at LJ where I've had Depp-centric icons almost from Day One. One of the reasons I chose this year to blog about it is because 2013 will mark Depp's 50th birthday and 30 years since he's been in the acting business. Yes, my dear friends, we and Mr. Depp are getting older by the minute!
So without re-capping the entire blog post, I invite you to check out my newest endeavour - A Guy Named Soo and my initial entry.
Going to try to do the movies in chronological order starting with Nightmare on Elm Street. I am not sure if I am going to be able to get my hands on all the films, but I am going to try.
I may have to resort to watching Depp's 1997 directorial debut "The Brave", which was never released in North America, on YouTube in parts if I can't find it anywhere else.
