The books I'm reading: Only one on the go. Alfred Bester's Hugo Award winning "The Demolished Man". Not enjoying it as much as I had hoped. I love "The Stars My Destination", this one less so.
The books I'm writing: Back working on my long suffering YA novel about a young girl who ends up being recruited as Guardian Angel against her will. Also brainstorming a bunch of other stuff that threaten to distract me.
The book I love the most: I am going to go with part of sanguinity's answer here: My brain doesn't work that way, picking favorites. I love a lot of PKD's books. Ubik is a favourite of mine, but there are others too.
The last book I received as a gift: At Christmas I received some books from family. I don't remember which right now. Have to think about it. My To-Be-Read piles is huge!!!
The last book I gave as a gift: I gave my kids some books at Christmas.
The nearest book: I've got three books sitting on my desk right now. Year's Best SF15, Julie Czerneda's Survival, and Peter Watt's Blindight. All unread.
The last book I bought myself: I bought two books online yesterday from Apex Books. One is a Stoker Nominated short story anthology called "Dark Faith". The other is a Stoker nominated non-fiction how-to writing book by Gary Braunbeck called "To Each Their Darkness" and its described as Gary Braunbeck uses film, fiction and life experience to elucidate the finer points of storytelling, both in and out of genre. This part-autobiographical, always analytical book looks at how stories develop and what makes them work-or not work-when they’re told.

The last book you put on hold at the Library: I have a hold waiting for me tomorrow. A graphic novel called Essex County by Jeff Lemire which was featured on Canada Reads earlier this winter. Looking forward to it.
