Late pics are late. Plus a meme that I stole.
So. Uh. Yes, it is tomorrow, of course it is. I know these pics are late of the things that I have been doing. D: Here they are anyways.
This is the first knitting project I finished! I think it looks great for me messing it up, haha. There is some cross-stitching on the brim to keep it up, but it's cute~
This is the beginning of my Hungary costume. It doesn't have the collar in yet, or the zipper at the back, but it's a start! My dress form and I do not wear the same cup size, so that's why the chest looks a bit funny. Ella is a B-cup, I think, and I am at least two bigger, so sometimes things don't quite work. :/ Yes I named my dress form.
The next two are what the pieces of the corset look like, on the outside:
and the inside:
and this is what it will look like when it's done. Why I'm letting anyone see this atrocity is beyond me.
You can see in the first one how the two front pieces don't meet evenly, and the cream trim along the top and bottom is coming of and just eugh. And I only had one corset lace, which is why the back is laced up improperly. There should be two, and they meet at the waist to have the proper amount of tension. And that's all for now; I'm working on this presently:
The one on the left, to be precise. I'm not sure how the skirt on the right would look on me, as I do not have stick legs. The corset above is consistent with the Victorian period, so I can wear it with this. My goal is to have an outfit like Dr. Julia Ogden's in Murdoch Mysteries, a 19th century detective show that takes place in Toronto~ She looks like this:
It's atrociously hard to find a picture of her standing up where half her body is not blocked or cut out of the picture, so this will have to do. All of Murdoch is available on Youtube anyways, so I recommend going and finding it if you are intrigued by policing and detective methods in 1895. I am so I love with Dr. Ogden's hat. I want one terribly ;_;
