Finally caught my white whale.

So 2 and a half years ago I went out for a nice seafood dinner where I had the BEST fish of my life. It was so good, every bite of it was like a softer version of lobster. After dinner I decided I wanted to remember this fish so I could make it again someday. So I committed the name "monkfish" into my memory. As it turns out, it wasn't called monkfish. There is a monkfish, but wikipedia told me people don't really eat it in America. I realized this 4 months too late.
Since then, every time I went to the store, I checked for any unusual fish. Well today they had a fish called opah, it was the right color, and expensive enough, so I brought it home. Well you can imagine my excitement when I was looking up how to cook it and discovered it also went by the name "moonfish".

Anyway, I just cooked it, and tasted it. Ladies and gentlemen, I found my fish. If this thing can be this delicious with just olive oil and lemon, I can only imagine what it'll be like when I find out what kind of sauce that restaurant uses. Maybe it's a really stupid victory, but I thought I'd never taste it again, and now it's mine. Feels good. Feels very good.
