Did anyone see that lunar eclipse last night? I can't believe I got to see something so wonderously beautiful. As it is I love the moon, it's always fascinated me and there have been occasions where I have been amazed by the way it looks, whether it is full or a crescent and you can seek the dark side outlined. One night me and my brother were driving home and I look into the sky and the moon was enormous, the biggest I'd ever seen it and I couldn't stop gazing at it, it just reminded me even more of how out of this world it is.
Anyway back to the lunar eclipse, I sat outside and watched it eclipse, it was only half way and I even saw it go "blood red" as it was said it would be in the news. I really hope everyone saw it, it's such a rare experience. And as I looked at the moon fully eclipsed it was like looking at mars, it was so beautiful. And when I looked up in the sky I noticed how there were more stars than usual and there were these things moving in the sky that at first i thought were just aeroplanes but they definitely weren't. It was possibly a meteor shower but they were hard to see at first. They were stars or something blinking yellow then red and travelling at great speeds across the sky. It was so wonderful! I'm a space fanatic, I'm fascinated by all things out of this world. To think that our solar system is part of one galaxy and there are millions of galaxies out there! It drives me crazy to think about it too much, I've always wondered if there's other life out there but apparently in my religion earth is the only place in the universe that has life. But just thinking about how massive our universe is makes me think there's got to be more to it. If it wasn't for all the maths and science involved I would have loved to be an astronomer and learn more about it, i've always been interested in astronomy.
Well anyway last night was one of the few highlights I've had this year. Another space related highlight i've had this year was back in January. I was staying in Morriset for the week and me and my 2 cousins were sitting outside at midnight overlooking the water, and because there aren't many lights at night you can fully appreciate just how many stars are in the sky at night, it was beautiful but that night I got to see something i'd always wanted to see; A shooting star! It was so beautiful and I was so stunned, I was speechless because I saw one when I least expected to. Afterwards I kept hoping i'd see one again but that was the last one i'd see that night.
Well thats enough I guess. I rambled on and on. I must sound like such a geek lol.
