Ha! I didn't even remember that conversation until you cited it here! But I do remember who I had it with. ^_~ And good lord, this fic hits all of the stipulations! I'm thrilled. *G*

Oooh. I love how it's easy to see both sides of the issue at hand. (But of course I'm totally on Boromir's side. ^_~)

He offered a goblet to Boromir, and when the gesture and the cup were ignored, he placed one glass back on his desk.
That's such a lovely detail, and shows so simply Boromir's level of frustration and irritation.

The hint of a smile curved Aragorn’s lips, a hint of satisfaction tinged his words. “I know.”
Ha! Tricksy King, playing his cards close to his chest like that. Tsk. And how nicely this line ratchets up that feeling of frustration.

“I will not bend to you in all things.”

“No.” Aragorn didn’t even bother to fight the smile as it ripened into a grin. “Surely not in all things.”Bwah! Oh, that's just begging for trouble, it is. How wonderful

*murgle* I love this! Even in the midst of extremely hot *thud* sex, they're still battling for dominance... fantastic! And ooh, growly!Boromir just... *thud* Yeah. *grin*

Ee, love it when Boromir gets all pushy! And apparently Aragorn does, too. Nice that they can disagree, even get annoyed with each other (though of course the king is more smug than anything, the brat), and Boromir re-establishes his own power in the relationship in a way they both appreciate. Yum!

Great dialogue and the interplay between them (verbal and physical) grabs the reader. Love how Aragorn seeks (?) to goad Boromir into action. Well done!
