Well, since
sons_of_gondor is open for business, I think it's only fair if we have some 'fic/discussion/whatever! I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume crossposting is welcome, so let us know when you write/run across something that the community would be interested in.
In the spirit of luring others to their doom post, I'm blowing the dust off a story

And Boromir's fantasy about what Aragorn would do was positively delicious evil.
Hee. Glad you liked it.
More?
*G* Am working on it.
Thank you!

I ache for more stories about Faramir and Boromir growing up together, and not necessarily in a slashy, taboo sort of way.
and his seething.
*G* He's so pretty when he's resentful.
Glad you liked the Warg metaphor, and I'm glad it came through all right.
So glad you decided to share it here!
Thank you! And thank you for the lovely FB!
Am hoping to prod yourself and other people *looking around at everyone* to post to SofG -- as far as I'm concerned, this Wicked Sister really doesn't care if it's simply links to things at other communities. ^_^

I love how Boromir sees Aragorn as warg-like: strong and predatory, undisciplined and unpredictable. Everything in Aragorn's world is topsy-turvy to Boromir: their nocturnal travels, his kinship with the wild beasts (which Boromir feared as a child), his mongrel appearance, the motley company without leader or hierarchy. And at the same time he hates these things - as he hates Aragorn for threatening his inheritance - he is fascinated by and drawn to them. And him.
The flashback to Boromir and Faramir's childhood, and their shared fears, is really wonderful. It brings so much depth to the scene.
And again, wow. HUGE *smooch* for giving me something lovely to read tonight!
Your story makes me realize the difference between improvised fics - which I've read a lot of, lately - and stories which have been thought out, revised, plotted, and polished. It's so rewarding to read a piece with backstory and symbolism and theme...

Thanks! I know I'm being a bit repetitive here, but I really wish there was more out there about the brothers... It seems like they get such short shrift from the Professor himself, especially since he makes it clear that they loved each other, and Boromir's death appears to be such a blow to his younger sibling.

Woo! *G* Thank you. *SMOOCH*
Re: improv stories -- They've been a healthy portion of my fic reading/writing diet lately too -- the good thing is that they keep you writing, but they are awfully constraining in the amount of thought you can put in them, aren't they?

*G* You're making me blush. Thanks. Although Fortifications wouldn't be nearly as polished ( ... )

It's wonderful--the firelight, Boromir's thoughts, Boromir and Faramir as children, and the transition from Warg to Aragorn... which I confess I didn't expect, because Boromir was watching him being so gentle and caring with Sam. So when it came it was shocking, and I was totally blown away by it--that subtle line between passion and violence, fear and desire. Predatory!Aragorn... I'm shivering. *hugs you*

I hadn't thought of that! Thanks! I guess I've been looking at this whole scene from Boromir's POV for so long, that I missed Aragorn's gentleness as well.
So glad you liked it, luv. (Argh! Now I'm going all British on you! Think I better get some sleep.) ((((Cinzia))))
