Today was extra amazing. And yet, I didnt do much at all.
I woke up at a respectable 9 o clock in the morning. Got dressed, did all of that morning stuff. Then I took Nicki to the pool store with me to buy chlorine sticks. When we got home it was about 10:45, and already fairly warm out. I spent about an hour in my screen house out back, because the sun wasnt on the pool deck yet, and this way I could spend some time with Molly, while I finally started reading the 7th Harry Potter book. Then, I went in for lunch (Pasta salad, with chicken and italian dressing) and enjoyed the air conditioning for a few minutes. I even made myself an amazing cupcake. Well Nicki made them like two days ago, but I decorated it, with cream cheese frosting and every color sprinkle imaginable. And no, not that already mixed rainbow junk. These sprinkles were separated by colors so you could put which ones you wanted. Although I put them all on anyway, its just more fun. Then I poured myself another glass of iced tea (this was probably my third by the time I was finished lunch). The sun was now shining on the deck so I put my bathing suit on and went to sit on a cushiony lawn chair that faced the pool. I was really excited to finally get a tan line again (I noticed the other day that since i actually tanned in Nantucket about a month ago, I had almost completely lost all that I had gained). The butler frog stood to my left, holding out his tray which would prove to be of good use in holding my cell phone and drink. Then I sat there in the sun, reading my Harry Potter book, for probably half hour intervals. I'm just going to assume half hours, when really I stopped reading for only two reasons: A) I ran out of iced tea and needed some more or B) It was way too hot to sit there, so I'd take a dip in the pool. When 3 o clock rolled around I had to take nicki to her friends house in Bedford. Shes going camping this weekend. I got back with about 20 minutes of extra reading time, and my dad went out and got Applebees car side to go--- chicken and riblets basket for me. It was delicious. Then I had to work 5-9. It was not bad at all. Time went by pretty fast. I helped someone shop for their 84 year old mother in the hospital (and on a time crunch i might add...). Then I drove home. The air had cooled by then, my car read 75 degrees, and it felt like heaven. I let my arm move up and down out the windown in a ocean breeze sort of way as Jimmy Eat World played loudly in my ears. The moon was bright, not perfectly full, but sometimes its better when its not. Halfway home, fireworks blasted throughout the perfectly clear sky. I got home just a little while before writing this, and went next door to my grandparents house. My dad and uncle were there playing cards with them. I ate a few thin mints and popcorn kernals and then returned to my orange cave which is currently in an oven like state from the lack of air, and what air it gets is really hot. And now I plan on returning to the screen house to read some more of my Harry Potter book. Its too nice out not to enjoy it while it lasts! My dad said its supposed to rain this weekend.
