Yesterday morning I thought I wouldn't see bun the whole weekend. Saturday he couldn't go out, and Sunday (today) it's me who can't go out. Two whole days! The number of two consecutive days we failed to see each other are very few. :o
Some would call this co-dependency. Which is bad! But it's not! We just want to be together as much as we can! And we find ways to be. And people in relationships are supposed to support each other. Which is what we do. We help each other and we catch each other. We're like a unit. Okay, that sounds so... military/technical/formal. Ehe, I am watching Bourne Supremacy as I type.
Anyway. So yesterday, since he couldn't go out, and training ended relatively early (3pm), I decided to... surprise him! I knew that would make him happy. And that would make ME happy too. Double benefit, good deal! ;) Anyway, yes I braved the distant and unfamiliar roads to Manila. I've driven to Malate before, but never without him. I've only made the trip alone going back. So anyway, I kind of got confused towards the end of Espana. There was a fork and I forgot which one goes to Quiapo! Dear lord I ended up in Recto instead. I was so scared! It looked so alien! And it didn't seem like there was anyone safe to ask directions from. But what the heck, I asked about five different people along the way anyway. I had to make a U-turn along Recto and every single stop light had a no U-turn sign on it! Just as I was starting to really panic, I saw a U-turnable one. Thank god! And then I made a right and somehow found my way to Ongpin street. Which leads to Chinatown. And exits to Quiapo. Back to familiar road at last! From Quiapo I made my way to Taft.
And here came another challenge. Although technically if you just go straight down Taft you will reach the street where Robinsons Place Manila is, Ryuji always took a shortcut by turning right early. I had to second-guess my way around there. But I was successful! Though I wasted about 20 minutes getting lost, I found myself in front of Trop!
Haha it was so funny. I wanted to surprise him sana by showing up at the gym in the second floor. But he wouldn't go to gym! He just woke up from nap and was procrastinating. I waited in the gym for about 5 minutes then decided to change plan.
I went up and waited outside his door instead. I told him to go look at the golden sun! - expecting him to peep out the door. But he peeped out the balcony (and hurt his eyes xp). So I told him to look at it from outside his door. And he finally did. He had the funniest expression when he saw me. Like he was seeing an... apparition! Hahaha. He looked so cute.
And I made him so happy! And I made me so happy too.
I couldn't stay long, only stayed an hour and a half. Had to be home by dinner time. And I was scared to drive back in the dark! But still. It was lovely. We just hung out in front of Coneheads (showing on HBO hahaha). It was so sweet!
...
But now, I am sad. He told me this afternoon he can't see me tomorrow either. He has to drive his dad around. But there's a slight chance he could show up for a bit dring training. I wish he could! That would make my day. :)
