So yeah...lost patience with the Celtic Mythology book, and I haven't even finished the first chapter. It was interesting learning about Balor (his name and power have been commandeered for a recurring Castlevania boss) but the book isn't very well written. Think I'll put it back on the shelf for the moment and take on Seventh Son. I have things I hope to learn from that as well, although hardly in as practical a way.
Also, how anyone who has known me for any period of time can take everything I say as being literally true, particularly when it's absurd, is beyond me. Especially given that these are otherwise intelligent people. I guess they need sleep. I do too.
Free pancake day at IHOP was nice. We walked in, were seated within seconds, and the waitress got our order going for us the moment we sat down. We even recieved our bill (symbolic as it was) in a timely fashion. In, out, and back to the office within an hour. Are you reading this U-District IHOP? No more of your excuses. I know your kind can do it, even with the demand generated by serving free food.
I finally hit the treadmill again. Managed to get about 2.75 miles before the pains in my chest and foot wore out my patience. Given the headaches I've had the last couple days, I don't want to push myself, as I may already be fighting something. I need to get back to doing my walks habitually. Oh yeah, and doing the full four miles. Hopefully the exercise will help me sleep better tonight.
