So things are looking up. I found a really awesome ship at the bottom of the ocean, and now Kaku is helping me repair it. I've decided to name her Calypso. Annabeth would probably...not be happy with that. But maybe it will make her angry enough that she'll show up

Who is she, then?

She's...she's a Nereid. A sea nymph. She was imprisoned on an island for eternity by the gods for helping her father against them in a war a long, long time ago. The island is unplottable and no one ever finds it unless they're sent there by a god. I ended up there after I got hurt once, and she nursed me back to health.

It gets worse. The gods purposely only send her people that she'll fall in love with, but will have to leave her.

Yeah. I asked them to set her free.

I'm not sure. I hope so. They promised.

Not yet. We're still fixing it up. But it will be.
